Most projects have a nominal cost.
Record Books accompany all
projects.
What Is the Real
Purpose of
4-H
Projects?
The
purpose of 4-H projects is to teach young people how to accept
responsibility for their projects and any supplies or equipment used
to complete their projects. During
the project year, 4-H members will also learn about the subject matter
of their chosen project. However,
the more important purpose is to provide an opportunity for personal
growth and development of the young person.
So, the larger purpose of 4-H projects is to provide
opportunities for young people to develop character.
