Traditional-
There are currently 16 4-H clubs that are open
to the youth of Benewah county and approximately 32 leaders that
are providing leadership within these clubs.
Projects ranging from
cooking to breeding sheep, there is something for everyone. Some
of the newer projects available to youth are computer and theatre
arts, as well as specialty breads.
School Enrichment-
Includes such activities
as Germ City, Talking With T.J., Building A Healthy Me,
Nutrition Expedition and others. The above curriculum is
taught in the school setting with the permission of the school's
administration. Upriver School since the start of "Germ
City" has noticed a decline in school absences.
