The University of Idaho Benewah County Extension Office is comprised of one faculty member, a full time Office Manager, a part-time 4-H Program Assistant, and an Extension Nutrition Advisor.

The faculty and staff provide educational programming and support in community development, horticulture, natural resources, family and consumers sciences, and 4-H youth development.

Extension Educator/County Chair: Ashley McFarland

Ashley holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science with a Masters Degree in Environmental Science/Watershed Planning.   She is the County Chair and oversees the agriculture, community development and 4-H programs for the county.  You can reach Ashley at amcfarland@uidaho.edu or call 208-245-2422 extension 22. 

Rhonda Amy: Office Manager

Cheryl Lockard: 4-H Program Assistant

Coeur d'Alene Reservation Extension Office

Laura Laumatia: EIRP Educator

Laura oversees several programs in agriculture, natural resources, and youth development for all residents living within the reservation boundaries.  Her goals are to increase participation in Extension programs on the west side of the county and to educate youth about careers in agriculture and natural resources.
