WELCOME to the University of Idaho, Boundary County Extension's home page. Our staff is committed to providing educational programs and information within the framework of the policies and directives of the United State Department of Agriculture, the University of Idaho, the Extension System and the Board of Boundary County Commissioners.

University of Idaho Extension improves people's lives by engaging the University and our communities through research-based education.  Our areas of expertise are Agriculture, Community Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, Natural Resources, and Youth Development.


 

 

Master Gardener Program

The Master Gardener Program is designed for adults to foster your love for gardening and horticulture!  The Master Gardeners also are a great resource to help solve your gardening problems.  Please visit the Master Gardener page for more information.




Agriculture

The University of Idaho Extension System in Boundary County offers a variety of agriculture related educational programs. There are programs in cereal production, forage and pasture management, and nursery production. Please visit the Agriculture page for more information.


Food Safety & Preservation

Through the Preserve @ Home participants have the opportunity to learn safe food handling and preservation practices.  The Preserve @ Home program is available on-line, please visit our FCS page or the on-line course page for more information. 




4-H Youth Development

4-H is the largest youth service organization in the world.  Membership is open to youth ages 5-19, there are also great opportunities for adults to volunteer their time to inspire the next generation!  For more information on 4-H programming please visit the 4-H page.






Explore 4-H Afterschool Fun
