The mission of the Idaho 4-H Program is to help youth acquire knowledge, life skills and attitudes that enhance life.

Any hogs purchased from out of state MUST have a health certificate and bill of sale.  Please bring health certificates with you to the initial weigh-in and keep this in your record books.

 

PHOTOS ARE REQUIRED IN RECORD BOOKS!!

Minimum Weight for Swine is 210 lbs.  270lbs maximum.  Overweight hogs may be sole but will only receive premiums for the maximum weight allowed. For example a 310 lb. hog will only sell at 270 lbs.

The focus of the swine project is to allow a youth to develop skills to select, care for and breed swine.  Raising a swine project teaches the exhibitor about proper care and management for swine. Exhibitors can also learn about the pork industry through getting involved with youth swine project programs
