Every leader who is enrolled as a 4-H Leader
in Cassia County is a member of the Leaders Council. The
Cassia County Leaders Council addresses different issues that
come up during the year concerning the 4-H program within
the county. They also vote and set policy for various
projects. The Leaders Council has a general vote and sets
policy for various projects. The Leaders Council has a
general meeting 10 months out of the year. They are held
the third Tuesday of each month, generally starting at 7:30 PM,
held at the Cassia County Extension Office.
Every new leader is required to fill our an
application, have references checked and have a background check
before they can take a New Leader Training and Child Protection
Training Class. All leaders are expected to attend six leaders
council meetings a year and attend yearly Civil Rights and Child
Protection Training which will be held prior to Leader's Council
each month. New Leader Training for new 4-H Leaders are
scheduled throughout the year. Call 878-9461 to see when
the next training is scheduled.
The meeting in July is mandatory for the
leader of the club or a responsible adult to attend.
