Family Consumer Sciences
In District III
Family and
Consumer Science Extension educators in this district offer programs
to help residents improve their quality of life. Offerings range
from living within your means to activities for your family, eating
healthy with diabetes to preserving food for the winter-- all
aspects of living better, and using your family resources more
wisely.
Although there
are 11 counties in District III, 5 counties currently have family
and consumer sciences extension educators, with a variety of
specialties.

Programs
available include: Guarding Against Identity Theft, Legally Secure
Your Financial Future, Credit Cents, Dollar Decisions, Who Gets
Grandma’s Yellow Pie Plate?, The Healthy Diabetes Plate,
Osteoporosis, Steps to a New You, Meal Time in Less Time, My Pyramid
for Youth, Got Calcium, Welcome to the Real World, Money on the
Bookshelf, 4-H Financial Champions, High School Financial Planning
Program, Ready Set Food Safe, Germ City, Master Food Preserver,
Married and
Loving It!, Extension Nutrition Program (food stamp education).
Programs can also be tailored to suit the needs of your group or
activity.
