The University of Idaho, Elmore County 4-H in partnership with Mountain Home Air Force Base Youth Programs has after school 4-H Clubs at the Mountain Home Air Force Base Youth Center to provide support to military families and children using 4-H curriculum, programs, events, training, and community partnerships.

 

They incorporate a variety of projects including cooking, sewing, wood working, health and fitness, computers, leather craft, photography, gardening, leadership, robotics, which are all displayed at the Elmore County Fair, in Glenns Ferry, in July.

 

Extra activities include Teen Warrior Day, Tween Lock In and Skillathons.  All 4-H youth and military youth (active duty, retired, reserve, guard) are encouraged to participate.  Contact Cathy Chick, the University of Idaho, Elmore County 4-H/Military Liaison at Mountain Home Air Force Base Youth Center, or Erin Mullen, the University of Idaho, Elmore County 4-H/Military Technology Coordinator, 208-828-2501, for more information.
