Department of Agriculture Mormon Cricket and Grasshopper
Control Program offers help to ranchers, farmers, and the
general public in the suppression of economically damaging
infestations on private or state owned lands. The program
provides pest management information, insecticide bait and helps
organize aerial cost share projects with private landowners to
control damaging populations of these pests.
No bait will be given to a private landowner for an area less
than five (5) acres or for an area five (5) acres or more
that is not used for some type of agriculture income.
All private landowners wishing to receive bait must complete
Form 1 and return it to the Latah County Extension Office
via mail,
hand delivery or email.
Once your form has been received an Agriculture Inspector
will visit your property to verify the infestation to accept you
into the program and make bait quantity recommendations.
Once this step is completed a bait voucher will be available for
you at the Latah County Extension Office. Your bait
voucher is redeemable at Primeland Cooperative, 2555 Hwy 95
South, Moscow. |
