| Successes and Current Activities: |
This multi-county potato extension effort headquartered in Blackfoot, ID is primarily funded by the Idaho Potato Commission. Dr. Bohl has worked to deliver education programs via oral presentations, written materials, field demonstrations, and applied research projects. Most of his research focuses on variety specific information related to seed piece depth placement and in-row spacing. He has used research his results to teach growers the importance of appropriate seed piece depth and in-row spacing. He edits and writes a newsletter, the Spudvine, which is distributed eleven times annually to all Idaho potato growers and others in the potato industry. |

| Successes and Current Activities: |
Mr. Nash supervises the largest 4-H/Youth Development program in District IV and second largest in Idaho. In 2005, there were 3,000 Bingham County youth involved in the 4-H/Youth Development program. That includes over 1,000 youth enrolled in organized 4-H clubs, the most of any county in Idaho. Mr. Nash is also a leader in the use of innovative programming like day camps to reach youth not normally involved in traditional club programs. He is also a leader in program assessment and has developed a survey of past graduates of 4-H livestock judging programs to determine the impact of judging on life skill development. Over 60% of the respondents thought that 4-H judging had both a positive influence on their personal success and on preparing them for the workforce. He works as one of four regional faculty focused primarily on 4-H/Youth Development. Mr. Nash also provides subject matter education on beef topics for area ranchers. |

| Successes and Current Activities: |
Ms. Spencer is heavily involved educating citizens throughout the northern half of District IV on nutrition related health topics. Her program is aimed at all age groups from elementary youth through senior citizens. She teaches elementary youth in Bingham County and the Ft. Hall Indian Reservation on a wide range of nutrition topics. For adults she has developed a curriculum, "Meal Time in Less Time," which is being taught by extension educators throughout Idaho and in 15 other states. In addition to teaching adults how to plan and prepare meals in less time, she also provides education on eating properly for insulin resistance and diabetes, and the role of nutrition, physical activity, and body size acceptance in health. She has been heavily involved in youth financial education, delivering "Welcome to the Real World", and a follow up curriculum which she co-wrote called "Give Me Credit". Finally, she provides leadership for the large 4-H program in Bingham County. |
