| Successes and Current Activities: |
This position will be refilled in 2006. The Extension Educator will provide overall leadership and organization for multi-county programs in commercial/consumer horticulture. In cooperation with area growers, governmental agencies and the University of Idaho Parma Research and Extension Center, the Educator will plan, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs in horticulture systems. The Extension Educator will, with direction from local advisory committees, develop and facilitate collaborative educational programs that meet clientele needs (e.g. pesticide certification, applied demonstration trials, tours, and workshops). The Educator will provide technology transfer in the area of environmental horticulture and implement the Payette County Master Gardener programs. The Extension Educator will provide technical support for the 4-H/Youth Development program, and supervision and support for the 4-H/Youth Development Program Coordinator in Payette County. |
