4-H Leader Requirements

Volunteer 4-H leadership offers you a challenging and rewarding experience.  A leader said, "The best thing about 4-H is the kids! Watching them develop, seeing them change." You too, will learn and grow in the process of being their leader.

To protect children involved in the program and to insure the selection and placement of qualified volunteers, an application and screening process is require for new leaders. In our county all adult and teen leaders will be fingerprinted along with the background check.

To maintain a quality, youth program leaders are required to recommit each year, to participate in training opportunities, and to be active members of the 4-H Leaders Council.
