Citizenship-Washington
Focus
Citizenship-Washington Focus is a
week-long citizenship development program for 4-H teens (15 to 19
years old) held in the summer at the National 4-H Center in
Washington, DC.
Participants explore current issues
and the how's and why's through workshops and government agency
visits, then tie it together into a plan for back home action.
Delegates also have the opportunity to learn more about government
and history through visits with our congressional representatives
and tours of our nation's capitol.
Any club, county, or state may send a
delegation. Each year in July, Idaho sends a state delegate of 5 to
10 4-H members and adults.
Interest forms are due
September 15, 2009 and can be printed off at the 4-H Idaho Web site
at www.4h.uidaho.edu.
