National
4-H Teen Conference:
National 4-H Conference will be held
March 28 - April 2, 2009, at the National 4-H Center near Washington, DC. 4-H
members Ages 15 to 19 years are eligible to attend.
This event is conducted under the
leadership of the Cooperative Extension System, United States
Department of Agriculture, and is designed to provide for meaningful
involvement of representative groups of 4-H participants in national
4-H program development.
Delegates work in consulting groups
to make recommendations for the direction of future programming for
4-H and youth programs. Delegates also have the opportunity to meet
with the state congressional delegation and tour the nation's
capitol.
Each year, Idaho sends a delegation
of up to 10 members and adults. The 4-H Endowment Board provides
scholarship money for delegates, and one adult volunteer is sent as
a chaperone for the students.

contact the County Extension Office or the State 4-H Office for more
information. Applications are due to the State 4-H Office by
December 5, 2009.
