Idaho is a tree state, and even nonforested parts have wild trees along streams, in clefts in rocks, along irrigation ditches, and in a variety of other special habitats. This book is about wild trees-native, escaped, and naturalized. Trees are arranged in seven groups based on leaf characteristics, with pictures to aid in identifying the leaf groups. Most trees are illustrated with life-size reproductions of actual leaves, and the names of leaf groups appear at the top of each page of description for ease of use in the field. This book is a must both for its value as a field guide and for the information it provides on the trees and natural environment of Idaho.
