The University of Idaho Survey of Parenting Practice (UISPP) is a pre-test for parents of young children to report the impact of a parenting education on their parenting practice. The survey was developed for use by “Parents as Teachers” programs but can be used by other early childhood parenting education programs as well.
The core of the survey is a set of twelve items asking parents to rate changes in their parenting in the areas of knowledge, confidence, skills and behaviors. Additional open-ended questions can be used for further feedback from participating parents. The survey is available in both Spanish and English.
Each UISPP tool kit includes two copy-ready surveys in English and Spanish along with an easy-to-use workbook that explains how to administer your surveys, the methodology behind the survey, and how to analyze your results. There is also a CD with the surveys and supplementary information.
